I've been using Arbortec Tree Service for many years and they routinely do a fine job. I was needing trimming/pruning of four large trees. I got several bids just to compare and Arbortec was the best price. Two of their team arrived right on time and they did a very thorough job on all four trees. Before they started we walked the property together and I pointed out my areas of concern so we were all on the same page. Recently I reached out (off-peak season) to get a quote to remove two trees that are on their last legs due to the Emerald Ash Boar Disease - I knew the time would come and I have been putting it off until the HOA wrote a letter. I hired Arbortec to trim 2 trees on my property. They did such a great job. Jeff, Riley and Dan were very knowledgeable and skilled and left my yard clean. The price was reasonable and they got me scheduled sooner than I expected. I'll be using them again in the future!

I called Arbortec Tree Service based on the recommendation of the arborist I work with, to estimate the pruning of my Valley Oak and huge Redwood tree in my yard. Their response was quick and the owner was out the next day to survey the assignment. The Valley Oak in front of my house really showcases my home and he recommended a light pruning, as well as targeted removal of those limbs likely to cause issues with the power lines. His knowledge of the tree’s growing nature, and county codes for clearance around power lines was very helpful so we were able to achieve compliance with codes and maintain the shape that makes the tree stand out. It turned out beautifully. I wasn’t sure about what could be done for the redwood tree because of a bad pruning done 30 years ago causing weighted sucker growth at the end the limbs where they were cut all those years ago. He explained the extra weight of the suckers the limbs were carrying attributed to safety concerns of their failing and created a plan to carefully thin the tree to reduce the risk while not causing the tree to produce more sucker growth. The project was well coordinated, with the foreman working the project well instructed on what was to be done. The foreman’s experience and insight on these trees really showed. As a result, his team did an excellent job! My wife and I are so pleased with the work, and our neighbors love the light and new look. The fee was fair and no “additional findings or unexpected increases” that I’ve experienced with other contractors. I highly recommend them and have them in my contacts on any future work I may need.
