GARDEN MULCH Great Service- Responsible- Communicative This review is long overdue. We found it very easy to deal with Ben having made several phone calls to other companies and read/compared reviews. He was patient and answered all our questions, kept to his estimate, no hidden costs which we find always seem to creep into estimate somehow. Because of the distance of the garden beds from the street, their hoses were the better option rather than lugging bags of mulch, and also distributed the mulch much more evenly , effectively and of course much more quickly. To be 100% sure, we took a rake around the various plants because not all of them grow best with mulch right against stems. We choose the dark black mulch to compliment our grey brickwork and it looked very striking when first laid down. The colour lasted a few years and while it naturally faded to a duller grey colour, it still looked good and the mulch made for quite a few years of easy weed pulling. If you've never mulched and hate weeding, you will100% appreciate how much easier it is. Would definitely suggest you call around as it can be a large $ investment, but would highly recommend Gray's Landscaping as your first call.

I am super disappointed with the owner (well I believe it was the owner since he said he was) because I called him yesterday to let him know what one of his drivers did and he told me that he will call me back before the end of the day but nothing yet. It was a serious matter hence why I called him. I was crossing from the parking lot walking towards the mall (Pickering Town Center) and his driver just drove right passed me without stopping at the stop sign. If I hadn't noticed the truck I would have got side swiped by the truck. The driver and a passenger both looked at me and didn't even say anything. Another pedestrian also witnessed it and called it out but the driver and passenger didn't say anything to that as well. All I wanted was an apology but I think I waited too long for it. This happened near entrance number 2 and I told the mall guards which were at the door screening people, they just said we will talk to them. She saw the driver and let the driver just walk away. The security didn't do anything. This was when the mall was just opening so there were not a lot of people walking or else for sure someone would have got hit. OVERALL I'm just upset with the owner because I do not know if he did anything about it or not. Update May 5th, 2021: The owner, Ben found me and got in touch with me to apologize and mentioned that he talked to those employees. I appreciate Ben for finding me and yes it is a tough time for all of us. He really cares about his business and hope the best.
