Rafael's guys, Tito and Manuel, were absolutely fantastic. They were so polite, professional and hard working. The job was done in just one day, and it is perfect. *BEWARE, DO NOT USE RDS HARDSCAPE SERVICES* I can finally legally post about my experience with Rafael and his shady business. We hired Rafael back in July of 2025. The job was to remove a flower bed, add turf & pour a concrete slab. My wife & I were going out of town for a month, Rafael agreed that it was ok to take half of the payment up front & the other half when we returned, this was also going to be the final walkthrough. Long story short, he didn't show up on the day we agreed. Didn't pour the concrete correctly. According to his contract he said he would install rebar, didn't do that. Didn't take out the existing wiring to flood lights, just poured concrete over it lol. Oh and the concrete, he said he would have a professional mixer & truck, nope, used quick concrete in the bags..... Didn't even bother adding a slope or cutting drainage correctly. Didn't even smooth out the slab before it started to dry. Was going to charge us $6k to do all of this??? When we came back from our trip, I immediately tried to contact him about all of this. He tried to send one of his workers to collect the remaining amount, wouldn't even bother to show up on his own (coward)! Went against his contract and threatened us daily saying we owed him $200 for every day that we didn't pay him, so by the time we came back from our trip, he said we owned him around $14k LOL. He never showed up to take the second half of the payment. Lied about his contract, we had to get a concrete X ray done for $400 to confirm there was no rebar. Had to seek help from a Lawyer & contact the police. I don't think he even has a work license to operate his business. Just save yourself the hassle & avoid his company at all costs!
